AB Series
Vane measurement and selection system measures Open Area values of single vane or cluster without fixtures or adjacent masters. The AB Gage gauges open area measurements and then, using a software program designed by Compair, stores the measured vane values. All of the values for vanes in current inventory are stored until the operator chooses to select an entire nozzle set. The program will the select sequence for assembly using "worst case" vanes first to provide an optimal set base on uniformity of open area uses for adjacent vanes. As a result, a smaller inventory of vanes will be required for ordinary production and lead-times for ordering addition vanes will be extended.
